About the team: In 2015, the Representative’s Office convened its first-ever Social Media Youth Team. The mission? To help the Office spread the word about its advocacy services through social media to all youth in B.C., especially youth in care and Indigenous youth. The Representative strongly believes that youth views must inform the work of the Office and the Social Media Youth Team has proven to be a valuable addition.
The team is currently comprised of three dynamic and motivated youth with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Team members are hands-on, and both advise on and create content for the Representative’s youth-oriented social media accounts. In addition to providing advice and recommendations, they create videos, images, photos, and written content.
